He is a Rajasthani Rajput. He received BBA degree from H.L. College of Commerce in 2003 and a degree in film-making from  Whistling Woods in 2006. After finishing the course at Whistling Woods, he assisted Sanjay Leela Bhansali and Subhash Ghai on  Guzarish ,Sawariya.  After returning to Ahmedabad, Singh started working as a Radio Jocky  in Radio mirchi.
